Chiragi getting ready on wedding morning

I got up bright and early and met Chiragi at Kanak's salon to shoot Chiragi getting ready for her wedding. She was an absolutely beautiful bride.

Hookahs'! at an Indian Wedding

Yes they did. This couple got Hookah's for their Mendhi and suffice to say the whole party enjoyed a little strawberry tabacco in their system. These guys know how to party!

Chiragi's Mendhi

I feel in love with the green and lighting for this Mehndhi. It was just perfect and allowed me to get these nice shots.

Chiragi's Haldi

Haldi's., Poojas, Vidhees are always challenging photo shoots, simply because there is no room to move around. Generally the priest faces a wall (to the east) and there is a crowd behind the bride and groom. I managed to squeeze infront of the pooja and got these shots.

Chiragi & Ankur: Garba!

I love to shoot Garba's. From a photography perspective, there is so much going on, bright colors and action. Here are a few shots from Chiragi & Ankur's Garba. I was able to bump up the ISO to get ample light so I didnt need the flash. I also played around with the shutter speeds to get some of the blur.

Vidhya & Amar Couple Portrait Session

I had a great time getting to know this couple during their couple portrait session. They are just so beautiful, natural together. I am looking forward to their wedding in May.

Sareena & Gary: Couple Portrait Session

Sareena and Gary had contacted me through a reference for a couple portrait session. These guys were true troopers as they drove all the way out from Sacramento on an early Saturday Morning. They had a lot of chemistry and we had a great time during this photo-shoot. They also went through 3 outfit changes. Once again... I always aim for a romantic look and feel to the images I try to capture in these events:

Here are my fav pics I took of Shehnaz & Ved at Stanford Campus during their Couple Portrait Session Photoshoot. They are a very beautiful couple and getting good shots was quite easy.. My goal during these sessions is to go for the romantic look and feel.
