Album Layouts Galore!

I am in album heaven right now as I try to process through about 6 albums in the works. It seems all of my clients are picking their pics for their album at the same time! What joy!

I do not use any templates or software (besides photoshop) to create my album layouts simply because I find them way too restricting. Its always tough to find a template that looks exactly what I want the layout to look like. I have played around with YSI and Montage in the past only to find its easier for me to create the layouts from scratch! Of course now I have gotten pretty fast at getting layouts done.

Oh and just a quick note, I never limit the number of photos my clients can choose for their albums. I recommend keeping it at less than 5 pics per page, but I do have some rather ambitious brides who pick over 500 pics for a 32 page album. Keep in mind 500 pics in a 32 page album makes a very crowded album! I have thought about limiting the number of images, recently, but decided this is one of my key selling points. You pick the images you want in your album and we go back and forth an infinite number of times until you are happy.

Here are some of my fav layouts from the past few albums I am working on...

Arati+Raj: Slideshow Overview

So in the end this couple got over 1500 images on their wedding day. I hate making these slideshows longer than 5 minutes because people tend to get bored, so it was tough to pick just a few. But here are my favorite!

Arati & Raj Slideshow:

Congrats to Arati and Raj! I wish you love, happiness and joy in your marriage and Thank you for hiring us as your photographers!

I also want to send a heartfelt THANKS to my second shooters Nick Morozcov and Aarti Dhaliwal! You guys rock! We had a blast!

Arati+Raj: Arati Getting Ready!

So as you all know, this is an extremely busy time of the year for me. My sister is getting married in less than a month, I have been flying around the country promoting www.pinksutra.com and with all the holidays I was not looking to book any weddings this fall. But when Arati and Raj approached me I kind of could not say no. I found this couple very genuine and while everyone thinks they are interviewing the photographer when they have client consultations. I think the truth is we are interviewing you too. So I was thrilled they hired me!
And what a beautiful bride she made!

Arati+Raj: Wedding and Reception

Arati and Raj got married at the beautiful Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto. I am in love with the yellow in this hotel. Yellow is such a great reflector! The wedding was outdoor in their courtyard and followed by the reception in the grand ballroom.
